Company website guide
Owner, partner and website designer steps
Open the company website editor
- Sign in with the company owner account. Open Organization and select F&S Tax Service. Open Company Website Builder. You can also use the direct editor link provided with this guide.
- Check the company name before making changes. The five steps are Choose a look, Company story, Services and links, Your team, and Review and publish.
- Use Save draft to keep edits. Use Preview website to inspect them. Saving a draft does not publish it.
Preview the 29 prepared partner pages
- Open Your team to see the names from the submitted roster. Private prepared pages are separate from connected partner accounts.
- Choose a name from Preview page above the editor and select Open selected page. F&S also has Preview Ferrin Thomas. In the expanded preview, switch between Company home and a team page, then check Desktop preview and Mobile preview. Check the name, About Me section, photo area and booking area.
- The prepared page endings use lowercase first and last names with no spaces or punctuation, such as /bobbiespivey. In Your team, Team page address can be corrected before launch. Keep Existing store number unchanged because it matches the verified partner profile.
- To launch the roster pages, select Include all roster pages when publishing, then Save draft, review and Publish website. Use each page checkbox to leave a page private. Publishing a page does not activate the partner account or complete a contract. Personal booking remains closed until the account and calendar are ready.
Update company text and photos
- In Company story, edit the company introduction, About text, colors and recruiting wording. Upload the company logo, About photo or hero image.
- In Services and links, edit service descriptions and company contact links. Only the owner should set application, payment and calendar ownership settings.
- Save draft, then preview the company page and several partner pages on Desktop preview and Mobile preview.
- A draft photo upload is not a public update until the owner publishes the company website.
Update a partner’s public profile once
- For F&S members, open Profile, then Update my F&S website photo, bio and contact details. This opens My website profile.
- The first setup uses the activated partner application and assigned store number. It prefills the saved name and available onboarding headshot/contact details. If activation or store assignment is missing, the page explains the blocker rather than creating a duplicate.
- Enter the public name, About Me text, business email and business phone. Upload the professional headshot. Confirm that these details are intended for the public website, then choose Save public profile.
- The site reads this TaxProProfile record automatically. Active public profile changes appear when the published website is opened or refreshed, without copying information into each page or republishing the company design.
- Private account contact edits are not automatically made public. Update public business contact details in My website profile. Mailing addresses, payroll details and private login emails are not copied.
- Existing inactive profiles remain inactive. A roster name alone never grants activation. The company must complete its existing partner activation process.
Set appointment hours
- From My website profile, open Set my website hours. Choose the linked provider, time zone, days and hours. Save the hours.
- Open My Calendar > Set my appointment hours, or My appointment hours in your company menu. Choose your calendar, turn on appointment booking, set weekdays and opening/closing times, then Save my hours. Each active team member sets their own hours. No outside calendar is required. Hours start disabled for prepared partner pages. No availability is invented. The company website must be published and the provider’s hours enabled before live booking is available.
- A client selects a day and time, then enters name, email and an optional phone number. In the private website preview, booking uses fictional sample times and does not create a live appointment.
Give a designer website access only
- Ask the designer to register a separate ordinary account. Do not share your owner password and do not make the designer an administrator.
- In Company Website Builder, open Website designer access. Enter the exact registered account email and select Allow website editing.
- Copy the workspace link shown there and share it yourself. No invitation email is sent automatically.
- The designer can edit company text, colors, images and service descriptions, save drafts, and preview the website. The designer cannot publish, change payment routing, edit calendar owner assignments, manage permissions or read client appointment records through this workspace.
- This permission grants no payroll, contracts, partner onboarding or other company access. Accounts already holding admin or active company access are rejected when granting this restricted permission. Existing unrelated access is never silently removed.
- Use Remove access to revoke the website grant. The next read or save is denied. The access history records who made the change.
Review and publish
- After a designer saves changes, the owner opens the builder and selects Check saved website. Do not overwrite a newer draft from an old browser tab.
- Review company and partner previews. Test the approved intake and portal destinations. Confirm that the content and photo permissions are correct.
- Open Review and publish, complete the review checkbox, and choose Publish website only when ready. Publishing at the shared address does not connect a custom domain.
- F&S roster pages explicitly included for publication appear while eligible under the company directory rules. Connected public profiles replace the prepared page at the same address. Account access and appointment hours remain separate.
Connect the F&S domain in Square
- Open Organization > F&S Tax Service > Company Website Builder > Copy domain records. The instructions open automatically when you first open the builder in a tab and after a successful website publication. You can also open Company Setup Checklist > Website and domain > Copy domain records.
- In Connect your domain in Square, use Copy beside A host, A value, CNAME host and CNAME value. A copied message confirms the clipboard action. If the browser blocks copying, select the value in its box and copy manually. Close instructions or the X returns to your saved work. Reopen the button anytime.
- F&S uses fandstaxservicesllc.com for the company home and /filewithus for Ferrin Thomas. The existing /ferrinlambert address opens the same personal page. Both the root domain and www use F&S public pages only.
- A platform owner first adds the domain in Base44. Ferrin can then sign in to Square > Channels > Domains > Manage > Manage domain > DNS Records. In Square, select record type A, enter @ in Host, and enter 216.24.57.1 in the IP address box (also called Value or Points to). Enter only the numbers and periods, with no https:// or spaces. Set CNAME host www to base44.onrender.com. Use TTL 300 seconds if Square offers it, otherwise its default. Edit the existing website records rather than adding conflicting duplicates.
- Keep existing MX, mail TXT, nameserver and unrelated subdomain records. The domain stays registered with its current provider. Saving website DNS replaces the old website at this address after propagation.
- After Square saves the records, the platform owner links and verifies this exact domain in Base44. Verify HTTPS at the company home, /filewithus and /ferrinlambert. A prepared domain or saved draft alone is not a confirmed connection.
- Publishing the F&S website does not enable disabled appointment hours or activate prepared roster accounts. Ferrin must confirm and save her actual calendar hours before live bookings can be accepted.
If something does not save
- Keep your entries and read the error. Use Reload saved profile or Check saved website before repeating a save.
- A newer draft message means someone else saved a change. Reload it before editing again.
- A pending operation after an interrupted save can require owner or platform reconciliation. Do not repeatedly create another profile or draft.
- No live designer account, client booking or public F&S launch was performed during these checks.
